• Sant Sebastià around 20 January · Old town

  Winter patron-saint celebrations in the old town — bonfires and neighbourhood gatherings around the feast of Saint Sebastian.

• Carnival (Carnestoltes) February (movable) · Town-wide

  Costumes and parades in the run-up to Lent. Movable date set each year.

• Fallas — Sant Josep 16–19 March · Old town

  Satirical monuments, fireworks and the cremà on the night of Saint Joseph (19 March) — Jávea's version of the Valencian Fallas.

• Easter week (Setmana Santa) Easter (movable) · Town-wide

  Processions through Holy Week, culminating on Easter Sunday. Movable dates.

• Jesús Nazareno late April – early May · Old town / Calvari

  Celebrations in honour of Jesús Nazareno around the Calvari chapel — one of the town's oldest devotions.

• Fogueres de Sant Joan roughly 17–24 June · Old town

  Jávea's biggest fiesta: bull-running, night parades, music and the midsummer bonfires of Saint John, peaking on the night of 23–24 June.

• Mare de Déu del Carme around 16 July · Port (Duanes de la Mar)

  The seafarers' fiesta in the port — the image of the Virgen del Carmen is carried out to sea in a flotilla of boats on 16 July.

• Moros i Cristians mid-to-late July · Arenal

  Spectacular Moors & Christians parades and mock landings on the Arenal beach. Exact dates set annually.

• Mare de Déu de Loreto late August – 8 September · Port (Duanes de la Mar)

  The port district's main fiesta — over a week of events closing on 8 September, including the famous 'bous a la mar'.
