Jávea has one of the Costa Blanca's strongest dining scenes, split between the buzzy Arenal beachfront, the atmospheric old town, and the port with its seafront fish restaurants. The port is the place for the freshest local catch, while the old town hides more intimate spots. Book ahead in summer for anywhere good, and note many kitchens close between lunch and the late Spanish dinner.
