Arenal — area guide

An area of Jávea (Xàbia), Costa Blanca

Flat, lively beachfront resort strip: the Arenal blue-flag sand, a palm-lined promenade of bars/restaurants (the Arenal paseo), apartment blocks and beach villas. The most touristy and most rental-driven part of Jávea; busy in summer, walkable year-round. Building-height limits keep it low-rise.

Quick answers

Can I live on the Arenal without a car? For daily life, yes — this is the one zone of Jávea where that is honestly true. Beach, supermarkets, bars, pharmacy-level errands and the seafront to the port are all on foot or by bike. You will still want occasional wheels (or a taxi) for the coves, the airport and the Thursday market.

How noisy is the Arenal in summer? The front line and the streets nearest the paseo are lively into the small hours in July and August — that is the product. A couple of streets back, it softens quickly. If you are noise-sensitive, view in the evening, in season, before you buy; the same flat is a different proposition in November.

Is the Arenal good for holiday lets? It is the strongest short-let zone in Jávea: the only sandy beach, walk-everywhere convenience and a long season. Walk-to-beach apartments, guide-priced roughly €150k–€500k, are the core product. Check the tourist-licence position on any specific property before buying — that detail carries real value.
